Team effort will make the sale of your home pleasant and more profitable.
The following suggestions are for your consideration.
Showing the home:
1. Be cooperative with your Realtor by making your home available for showing by appointment at any reasonable hour.
2. Let the Realtor discuss price, terms, possession and other factors with the buyer. As your Realtor, he or she is eminently qualified to bring negotiations to a favorable conclusion for you.
3. Avoid having too many people present during showings. Remain in the background.
4. Music is mellow but, pet’s aren’t. Get them out of the way.
5. Silence is golden. Be courteous, but don’t force conversations with the potential buyer. Never apologize for the appearance of your home.
6. Relax and be comfortable.
Preparation for the closing
1. Leave your home in “Broom Clean Condition.” Remove all trash and discarded items.
2. After the agreement is signed, do not remove any attached accessories unless permitted by the agreement of sale.
3. Plan ahead. Cooperate with your Realtor by having all the necessary receipts and/or certifications and keys well in advance of final settlement.
